By The Peepal: bar menu design for a rooftop microbrewery
Hotkhana Media designed the bar menu for By The Peepal Brewery and Kitchen, a rooftop microbrewery. Across nine pages it covers the house craft beers, spirits, wine, classic and signature cocktails, shooters and zero-alcohol drinks, with the brewery's own beer given the most space.

The brief
By The Peepal's bar runs from beer brewed on site to single malts, wine, cocktails and alcohol-free drinks. The menu had to hold all of it without feeling crowded, and make the house beer the obvious first order.
Our approach
Beer gets the spotlight
The craft beers fill the first two pages. Each one has a short style history, tasting notes and a pronunciation guide (Märzen, Witbier, Brut IPA), so guests can try an unfamiliar style with confidence. Prices for both 330 ml and 500 ml sit beside each name.
Illustrations that signpost
Each page carries a botanical drawing of what it serves: hops on the beer pages, wheat beside the whiskies, grapes beside the wine, olives and cherries beside the cocktails. A guest flicking through can tell where they are before reading a heading.
Easy to read at the table
Long spirit and wine lists run as one clean column with prices lined up on the right. Cocktails get a one-line ingredient note under each name, which is often what decides the order.
Built on the brand
Deep green type and the circular Peepal leaf logo sit on a warm, paper-toned ground, carried from the cover through every page. The standard pour and service-charge notes repeat at the foot of each page, so guests never have to ask.
